OCTOBER. What a month. It’s not over yet, but I’m exhausted in the best way! Between tons of tour groups and fall festivities, the last few weeks have been incredible. When we started the business earlier this year, we thought maybe by the fall we’d have a few groups booked. Little did we know that in October we would have 3-4 tour groups a week (and already booking groups for next year)!
Our groups this fall have been all over the Bourbon Trail, visiting some amazing distilleries. While we’ve spent most of our time touring in the Lexington area, we’ve also ventured out with some groups to the Louisville and Bardstown distilleries! It’s been such a privilege to show off Kentucky’s finest destinations, and there’s nothing better than hearing our guests gush over the stunning landscapes and delicious bourbon.
Now that the leaves are (finally) starting to change and the air is crisp, it’s easy to see why Lexington is a major travel destination in the fall. You could easily spend a week touring distilleries, enjoying local cuisine, and betting on the horses at Keeneland. It’s hard to pick a favorite time of year in Kentucky, because each season has its own special charms. As a local, I do have to say that there’s nothing quite as breathtaking as driving through Versailles, surrounded by some of the most beautiful horse farms in the state, while the red leaves are in striking contrast to a bright blue sky and thoroughbreds graze in the fields. You just have to see it for yourself, and we can make it happen. We’ve still got availability this fall, and it’s never too early to start thinking about next year!
