We left Lexington to try Bardstown Bourbon Company's new restaurant and bar.
After hearing about the new Bottle & Bond Kitchen and Bar, created by Bardstown Bourbon Company, we knew we had to venture out of Lexington to try this new spot. Bardstown is a small town known for its charm, and it’s the bourbon capital of the world. That being said, there has always been a lot of room for growth on the food scene. Bottle & Bond opened recently, and it is definitely different from most Bardstown restaurants. Bardstown Bourbon Company designed a large space specifically to use as a bar/restaurant/event space/gift shop, and the front wall is entirely made of glass. Last night, it gave us a great view of a summer storm. The space is modern with rustic touches, such as a grass wall with the logo, and leather couches throughout the dining room. Overall, the space is gorgeous and well worth a visit!
As if we weren’t impressed enough by the venue, the cocktails and food were fantastic. I started with a delicious Old Fashioned, and I also tasted a refreshing and light Kentucky Mule. Our group split a charcuterie board and some other appetizers, and it was well worth the price to order a few different options to pass around the table! Our waitress knew the menu well and was able to give some great recommendations, which helped us order incredible entrees. I highly recommend the brisket sandwich, which was so tender and was topped with caramelized onions. The waitress recommended swapping the fries for their macaroni and cheese, which did not disappoint (I was obsessed after the first bite). Our group also split a delicious berry cobbler for dessert.
Whether you’re in town for the distilleries or you’re a local looking for a new restaurant, Bottle & Bond is absolutely worth a visit. I can’t wait to have an excuse to visit Bardstown again soon so I can eat there again! To be honest, I think I would drive an hour from Lexington to Bardstown just to have that brisket again!
